Meet the Founding team

Aderinsola Airat Adio-Adepoju was born into the family of Engineer and Mrs. Adio over three decades ago. She obtained her B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Lagos after which she proceeded for her 1-year National Youth Service Corps Scheme as a chemistry teacher in a secondary school in Edo state. In her quest for education, she went further for her post graduate in her alma mater where she bagged a distinction in M.Sc. Environmental Chemistry. Her Doctoral programme which she started in 2015 focuses on finding sustainable solution to reoccurring lead poisoning incidents in artisanal mining environment in Nigeria.   
Aderinsola has coauthored 3 academic publications, won several awards and grants, been a part of many national & international conferences, workshops & symposiums, and participated in the 2018 UNLEASH Global innovation lab in Singapore. She also represented Nigeria at a 2-week water resources management course in Brazil (2017). Aderinsola was fortified with Entrepreneurial, Innovation and Skills course at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen where she won the Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund Developing World Scholarships in 2018. 

She is a serial entrepreneur with a registered fashion company; Deryne Couture. The business was established in 2011 to cater to the fashion needs of women for couture & ready to wear clothing and to empower young females with skills in fashion. Mrs. Adio-Adepoju is a mentor of The HelpMate Foundation, a wife, a mother of two,  a Cofounder of STEMSKills initiative and a strong advocate for SDGs, Skills acquisition & youth empowerment.

Dr. Bilikis Temitope Folarin (Nee Rabiu) obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. She graduated as the only female student with second class upper in 2008 Chemistry class of her University. She proceeded for her postgraduate studies at the University of Lagos where she obtained her MSc and recently bagged her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry.
Bilikis is a scholar of Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Her research is focused on the application of Analytical Chemistry in Environmental Science and Sustainability. Bilikis has academic publications in reputable national and international journals and has presented her research findings at conferences within and outside Nigeria. She is a member of Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria, Chemical Society of Nigeria, and Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World. She participates in United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Global Inter laboratory Studies for analysis of organic micro-contaminants in various complex matrices. 
Dr. Folarin’s volunteering, mentoring and tutoring for STEM education dates back to her high school days where she voluntarily tutored and mentored female elementary and junior secondary school students within her community. This drive continued during her 1 year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme at Government Science College, Wase, Plateau State, Nigeria, where she organized extra classes for West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) candidates for them to achieve excellence in Mathematics and Chemistry. 
Bilikis is a wife, a mother of two and a cofounder of STEMSkills.

Dr.(Mrs) Salisu Titilola (nee Adedayo) is a renowned researcher in Phytomedicine/Phytotherapy, Cardiovascular diseases, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. She is also a Biology teacher at School of Foundation Studies and an e-tutor at Distance Learning Institute, University of Lagos. Titilola received her BSc (Hons), MSc and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics in the same University. Her goal is to be an agent of change by contributing the best of her ability in order to improve educational objectives  and academic excellence. 
Dr.(Mrs)Salisu served as the vice president of Millennium development goals community development services (MDG CDS) during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in 2008. She executed skills acquisition projects  for secondary schools girls, student nurses and midwives in Kebbi state while serving as a microbiology lecturer in the same year. Due to her selflessness  and commitment to impart and impact youths, she emerged  the "Best Corps Volunteer - Millenium Development Goals Advocacy Project" in Kebbi State, Nigeria.
Titilola is a mentor in 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures program  of the New York Academy of Sciences where she is mentoring young women from all over the world to pursue their passions in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics  (STEM) as they navigate their future career paths.
Titilola is a member of organization for women in science for the developing world (OWSD) and has made several scientific publications and presentations at both national and international levels. Mrs Salisu is happily married with three lovely children and a cofounder of STEMSkills initiative

Adetoun Akitoye, currently a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Chemistry, University of Lagos is a graduate of Industrial Chemistry, University of Lagos. She is the Author of “The Journal of A Young School Girl” and “How Students Can Fly in Colours”, a Fellow of Association of Commonwealth Universities, LEAP Africa; and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, UK.
In 2015, Adetoun was nominated among the top three finalists for the “Exceptional Youth in Lagos State”. She is the Founder of Mademoiselle Foundation and a co-founder of STEMSkills initiative
